1. Privacy at a glance

General information

In the following, we inform you about the collection of personal data when using our website. Personal data is any data by which a person can be identified. Detailed information on the subject of data protection can be found in the privacy listed below this text.

Data collection on our website

Who is responsible for the data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find the contact details of the website operator in the section “Information on the data controller” in this data protection declaration.

How do we collect the data?
On the one hand, the data is collected when it is communicated to us. This may be data that you enter in a contact form, for example.
Other data is collected automatically or after consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. This is mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as this website is accessed.

What do we use the data for?
Some of the data is collected in order to ensure error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyse user behaviour.

What rights do you have regarding the data?
The right is granted to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient and purpose of the stored personal data. There is also a right to demand the correction, blocking or deletion of this data. If you have given your consent to data processing, this consent can be revoked at any time for the future. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
For this and other questions on the subject of data protection, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint.

Analysis tools und third-party tools

When visiting our website, surfing behaviour can be statistically analysed. This is done primarily with cookies and so-called analysis programs. The analysis of the surfing behaviour is usually anonymous; the surfing behaviour can not be traced back. This analysis can be objected to or prevented by not using certain tools. The following privacy contains detailed information on this.

2. General information and Mandatory Information

Privacy
The operators of these pages take the protection of personal data very seriously. We treat personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy. When using the website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is data with which a person can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains which data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done. We would like to point out that data transmission on the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Note on the responsible body
The data processor for this website is:

DIVE imaging systems GmbH
Winterbergstraße 28
01277 Dresden

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses, etc.).

Revocation of consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with explicit consent. Consent that has already been given can be revoked at any time. For this purpose, an informal communication by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority
In the event of violations of data protection law, the person concerned has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the state data protection commissioner of the federal state in which our company is based. A list of the data protection officers and their contact details can be found in the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/EN/Service/Anschriften/Laender/Laender-node.html.

Right to data portability
The right is granted to have data that we process automatically on the basis of consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to oneself or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If the direct transfer of the data to another controller is requested, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption
This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries. An encrypted connection can be recognised by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in the browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data transmitted to us cannot be read by third parties

Disclosure, blocking, deletion
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about the personal data stored, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, the right to have this data corrected, blocked or deleted. For this purpose as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, please contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint.

Objection to advertising e-mails
The use of contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation to send advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested is hereby prohibited. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam e-mails.

3. Hosting

We host the content of our website with the following provider:

Strato

The provider is Strato AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin (hereinafter “Strato”). When you visit our website, Strato collects various log files including your IP addresses.

For further information, please refer to Strato’s privacy policy:

https://www.strato.de/datenschutz/

The use of Strato is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. We have a legitimate interest in the most reliable presentation of our website. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user’s terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) as defined by the TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time.

Order processing
We have concluded a contract on order processing for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that this service only processes the personal data of our website visitors in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

4. Data collection on our website

Cookies
Our webpages use so-called “cookies”. Cookies do not cause any damage to the computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on the computer and saved by the browser.

They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on the end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of a visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by the web browser.

Cookies can originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services of third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used to evaluate user behaviour or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain desired functions (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO, unless another legal basis is specified.

The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG); consent can be revoked at any time.

The browser can be set in such a way that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

This privacy policy explains which cookies and services are used on this website.

Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which the browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address (recorded anonymously)

This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.

Contact form
If we receive enquiries via the contact form, the information from the enquiry form, including the contact data provided, is stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore based exclusively on consent (art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). This consent can be revoked at any time. An informal communication by e-mail to us is sufficient for this purpose. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data entered in the contact form remains with us until the request for deletion, the consent for storage is revoked or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after the processing of the enquiry has been completed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Request by e-mail, telephone or fax
When contacting us by e-mail, telephone or fax, the enquiry including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing the request. We do not pass on this data without consent.

The processing of this data is based on art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO, insofar as the request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the enquiries sent to us (art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO) or on consent (art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data sent to us via contact requests remain with us until the request for deletion, until the consent for storage is revoked or until the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after processing of the request has been completed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

5. Social Media

This website uses elements of the LinkedIn network. The provider is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Each time a page of this website containing elements of LinkedIn is accessed, a connection to LinkedIn servers is established. LinkedIn is informed about the visit by means of the IP address. If the “Recommend Button” of LinkedIn is clicked and if one is logged into the account at LinkedIn, it is possible for LinkedIn to assign the visit to this website to the person and his user account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by LinkedIn.

Insofar as consent has been obtained, the above-mentioned service is used on the basis of art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO and § 25 TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time. Insofar as no consent has been obtained, the use of the service is based on our legitimate interest in achieving the greatest possible visibility in social media.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details are here:

6. Analysis tools and Advertising

Matomo

This website uses the open source web analytics service Matomo.

With the help of Matomo, we are able to collect and analyse data about the use of our website by website visitors. This enables us to find out, among other things, when which page views were made and from which region they came. We also collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browsers and operating systems used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.).

The use of this analysis tool is based on art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

IP anonymisation
We use IP anonymisation for the analysis with Matomo. In this case, the IP address is shortened before analysis so that it can no longer be clearly assigned.

Hosting
Wir hosten Matomo ausschließlich auf unseren eigenen Servern, sodass alle Analysedaten bei uns verbleiben und nicht weitergegeben werden.

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on the computer and enable an analysis of the use of the website. The information generated by cookies about the use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

IP anonymisation
We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by the browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Objection to data collection
The storage of cookies can be prevented by a corresponding setting of the browser software. However, we would like to point out that in this case not all functions of this website can be used to their full extent. The collection of data generated by cookies and related to the use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google can be prevented by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Google’s privacy policy contains further information on the handling of user data: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en

Order data processing
We have concluded an order data processing contract with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
