Senior hardware engineer (m-w-x)

We are DIVE – the digital vision experts. As a deep-tech start-up, we comprehend the invisible (come and see how we do that). DIVE is a spin-off from Fraunhofer IWS and was founded in 2023 in Dresden. We are part of Silicon Saxony, won the 3rd prize in Saxonys founders competition in 2023 and were highlighted as one of the VISION startups in 2024. 

DIVE’s technology empowers manufacturers with end-to-end Hyperspectral Vision systems to ensure quality, functionality and cost-efficiency in industrial processes. To fulfil this purpose, DIVE has a unique and integrated hardware and software platform for all aspects of user interaction, data acquisition and analysis.

You will be responsible for these topics

Constructive mechanical engineering - You are the heart of our mechanical engineering. You will create and design new implementations of our Hyperspectral Vision Technology for industrial applications in close collaboration with the whole team - using the latest CAD software (Autodesk / Solidworks).

User driven desgin - You are interested in user-friendly design and an unobtrusive, straightforward design and implement this in the constructions. Furthermore, you will integrate the latest technological developments and work on innovative solutions.

System manufacturing - You not only create production documents and prepare CE certification, but also work closely with the manufacturers of vendor parts to determine what is feasible in terms of quality requirements and improvements.

System evolution - You keep existing system solutions at the highest quality level through continuous improvements and integrate customer requirements into ongoing development.

System Service - Your holistic approach not only takes into account functional customer requirements, but also those of your colleagues in Service. You compile technical documentation and information for the operation and servicing of the systems in line with the target group.

Your profile

You have a scientific university degree (Master's or university diploma) in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics, production engineering or similar. A strong knowledge of CAD software (Autodesk Inventor / Solidworks) is mandatory. You have a broad understanding of technology and concepts and follow current developments out of your own interest and apply new technologies in the right place.

Very good German and good English skills, good communication and teamwork skills and a solution-orientated way of working as well as motivation to think your way into new subject areas complete your profile.
